Chapter 2 - The Surprise

As Kristine slowly walks heading home she felt sad for none of her relatives or her best friends remembered her birthday today. Unlike last year they never stopped on saying Happy Birthday to her wherever she go. She continues to walk as she recalls the birthdays she had with her parents. They had given her all kinds of gifts but the most special gift was the last one they had given her before she left for America. It was a bracelet with the word T.E.S.O.R.O or the Italian of treasure which seals the love of her parents into her heart forever.

Kristine was just about to enter the house when suddenly she heard shouts saying Happy Birthday. "I thought you guys forgot", said Kristine with jovial. "Well we thought to have your party a surprise this year" replied by Faye and Edwin her two best friends. "Well thank you guys anyway including you Aunt Lisa", said Kristine as continuing to enjoy herself for the party they prepared for her. "Kristine that reminds me what we are going to do tomorrow" asked Faye. "Well we can go bowling, biking, watch a movie......" Edwin suggested as he continued on giving ideas. "Or we can just go in the park and have a picnic” interrupted by her aunt. "Well that's fine for me" replied Kristine and Faye. Then with Edwin left with no choices has said Ok even though he had a lot of things to do than just have a picnic. "But promise me that after this picnic we go and watch a movie" said Edwin hoping. With any hesitation the two girls quickly replied yes and went back to the party. Edwin secretly after making sure that Kristine wasn't looking, quietly went into Kristine's room and placed his present for her in the table so before she gets any sleep she'll find the greatest gift a friend could give. Edwin thought about the present he bought and had a looked before placing it near her diary. Then quietly went back to the party to get some refreshments.
